FIRE SHIFT CAPTAIN - PARAMEDIC

Mid-Columbia Fire and Rescue is recruiting for Fire Captain - Paramedic (Shift Commander); This is a Represented Position under the Collective Bargaining Agreement with IAFF Local 1308.

Salary Range Base- $28-$29.12/Hr (Approx. $81,752- $85,022 annually)

With 10% Paramedic (Approx. $89,928- $93,525 annually)

Tentative Dates;

Application Period- November 10th- December 10th, 2020 at 1700 hrs PST

Written Examination- January 15th, 2021 0900 hrs PST

Captains Candidate Training- January 21st 2021 1730-1900 hrs PST

Assessment Center- January 22nd, 2021 0800 hrs PST

To qualify, candidates must complete and submit an MCFR Application, Supplemental questionnaire, (Resume Optional), Proof of:

·         NFPA Fire Officer 1 certification,

·         ICS 400

·         Oregon Paramedic License or ability to obtain prior to the date of hire

·         (Updated) NWCG S-290 Intermediate Wildland Fire Behavior

·         (Updated) S-230 (Crew Boss) or S-231 (Engine Boss)
