Urban Renewal Committee: Director Diana Bailey represents the Fire District on the City of The Dalles Urban Renewal Committee.
Civil Service Commission: The civil service includes all employees of the fire department of a political subdivision which employs four or more firefighters on a full-time basis, with the exception of the Fire Chief. The Mid-Columbia Fire and Rescue civil service commission is composed of three members appointed or confirmed by the governing body of the political subdivision according to its charter, ordinances or regulations based on ORS 242.702 to 242.824. A civil service commissioner must reside within the Fire District. John Hutchison, Chuck Covert, and John Willer each make up the Mid-Columbia Fire and Rescue civil service commission.
