CPR Demonstration - Hands-Only CPR

Mid-Columbia Fire and Rescue is happy to announce that we will be holding CPR and First Aid classes for the public. We will be putting on three types of classes and will have limited enrollment based on the number of instructors available for the classes. These classes are provided as a public service to the community. Students must work or live in the community. Class information below. To see the schedule of classes and to register, click here.

Friends and Family

(Hands-Only with NO Mouth-to-Mouth)  --  Students in this class will learn how a layperson can attempt to save the life of someone who has suffered Sudden Cardiac Arrest. This course teaches that doing chest compressions alone can significantly increase the survivability of a patient in Sudden Cardiac Arrest. Students will NOT receive a card from this course.

Heartsaver First Aid/CPR and AED

Students will learn Hands-Only CPR with the addition of Automatic External Defibrillator and First Aid skills. Students will receive a CPR card after the class. This class is appropriate for the student who needs a certified class (with card) for their employment or volunteer activities. Cards will be distributed approximately 2 weeks after the class and will be delivered electronically so an email will be required for this class.

Healthcare Provider

This class is often needed by medical providers and office staff of medical facilities. Students will receive a CPR card upon successfully completing the class quiz and hands-on portion of the class. Cards will be distributed approximately 2 weeks after the class and will be delivered electronically so an email will be required for this class.
