Division Chief Jensen began his fire service experience in 2001 as a volunteer firefighter in Eastern Oregon and in 2008 was hired to a Career Firefighter/Engineer Position on the Oregon Coast. He was promoted to Lieutenant and then to the B-shift Captain where he was the High-Angle Rescue Team leader. He was then hired by the State of Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training as the Eastern Oregon Fire Training Coordinator serving 75 Fire Departments and Districts in 10 counties. Through his Career he has earned an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science, Bachelor of Fire Science/Administration, Master’s Degree in Public Administration- Fire and Rescue Services and graduated from the four-year Executive Fire Officer Program through the National Fire Academy in 2017. In January of 2019, Division Chief Jensen was hired by Mid-Columbia Fire and Rescue as the Division Chief of Operations where he proudly serves the community. He, his wife and five children live in the City of The Dalles and have made the community their home.
